Rockwise Strategies served as a trusted advisor to the Stockbridge-Munsee Community during the expansion of the Mohican Family Center. The project included a new wellness wing with a pool, walking track, fitness center, and locker rooms, along with enhancements to the existing gymnasium and office spaces.
As Owner’s Representative, Rockwise provided comprehensive project oversight, including:
Guiding preconstruction planning, design review, and value engineering
Establishing clear communication protocols and facilitating coordination
Assisting with tax-exempt material procurement for cost efficiency
Reviewing design and construction documents for alignment with the Tribe’s goals
Attending weekly team meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues
Monitoring the project budget, schedule, and quality of work
Managing project documentation and ensuring organized close-out materials
Overseeing construction site visits, inspections, and quality assurance
Reviewing payment applications, change orders, and contractor performance
Supporting move-in logistics and training for facility operations staff
